Description
English Edition
Having as a reference his extensive personal contacts with major Gurdjieff pupils like Mme. De Salzman and Lord Pentland, as well as elements of the Fourth Way teaching that have remained unpublished to this day, Mr. Peretzi gives a vivid description of the spiritual effort involved in developing one’s conscious relationship with oneself and the World.
In this book, his texts are about the concept of “Attention”, about the possibility of liberating it from the constrains imposed on it by the conditioned behavior that has shaped one’s Personality. Mr. Peretzi aims for his accounts to be compatible, both with data about the functioning of the brain that have been accumulated over the last decades through scientific research and observation, as well as with ideas developed in the field of Philosophy of Mind.
Mr. Peretzi is the head of the Gurdjieff Foundation of Greece since 1976, and has helped conduct Work meetings in Paris, New York, Oslo, London and Amsterdam.
He is the author of several books, all related to the Gurdjieff Work.
