Three short films about the life of Gurdjieff

On Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 11 a.m. in THESSALONIKI, at the ATHENAION cinema, three films about the life and philosophical path of the Greek philosopher G. I. GURTJIEFF will be screened.

The first film refers to the life and philosophical path of Mr. Gurdjieff from his birthplace to his death in France.
The second refers to his action during the period of the Russian Revolution in 1917, as he himself describes it in his writings and
The third concerns Gurdjieff's movements and Sacred Dances and authentic scenes from movements are shown, under the guidance of Mrs. Jeanne de Salzmann.
The event is organized by the Gurdjieff Foundation and the Gurdjieff groups of Thessaloniki, as a tribute to his memory and his philosophical work, which is known as the "Fourth Way"
The Fourth Way appears in various forms from antiquity to the present day and each time rephrases the theme of the inner development of man in a way that is understandable by people of every era.
In the 20th century, Gurdjieff rephrased the theme of man's inner development in a rational way, that is, in a way that is addressed to modern man and is compatible with the descriptions of modern science. This is what distinguishes him from other esoteric teachings of the 20th century, which describe the world in an allegorical or even poetic way many times. The Fourth Way seems to go beyond the concept of allegory and in some way can bridge the gap that exists between allegorical descriptions and scientific ones. Gurdjieff's own view is that his system of ideas constitutes an "exact science".
